Ingredients

  • 225g of Plain flour + a bit more for rolling

  • 60g of sugar

  • 4 teaspoons of baking powder

  • 45g of Butter/Margarine

  • Pinch of salt

  • 1 egg

  • Milk

Method

  • Mix all the dry ingredients together

  • Rub in the butter/margarine

  • Crack the egg in

  • Add milk until at a rolling consistency (shouldn't stick to your hands but should keep a shape

  • Roll out with your hands to around 2-3cm

  • Cut out about the shape of a small glass

  • Cook for around 10 minutes in a 200c oven

  • They're cooked when they are firm to the touch
